| Lyric Orchestra To Perform Vivaldi & Mozart
EDGEWATER - The Lyric Orchestra is coming to Edgewater. On Thursday, June 6th at 7:30 p.m., the Lyric Orchestra will perform at the Waterford Towers at 190 River Road, at the foot of Gorge Road. Tickets are $25 for adults, and $20 for seniors & students. $50 patron tickets are also available, which include reserved seating, patron’s name in the program, and sponsorship of future children’s concert. Ticket admission includes supper buffet following the concert. Parking is complimentary at Waterford Towers.
Led by Maestro Franco Bertacci, the Lyric’s conductor and artistic director, the program will include:
- The Four Seasons by Antonio Vivaldi (Georgy Valtchev, violin);
- Two selections from Le Nozze di Figaro by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart: “Giunse alfin il momento...Deh vieni, non tardar”, Kyung Hee Kim, soprano; and “Porgi, amor, qualche ristoro”, Adrien Brizzolara, soprano;
- “Parto, parto, ma tu ben mio” from Mozart’s La Clemenza di Tito, Lisa Layman, soprano and Ilian Iliev, clarinet.
The Lyric Orchestra’s Chamber orchestra is comprised of 20 extraordinarily talented young musicians (average age 25) from more than 10 different countries. Its players include an impressive variety of recent graduates from The Juilliard School, the Manhattan School of Music, and other renowned conservatories worldwide. The Lyric Orchestra has performed in the past at prestigious international festivals.
