EDGEWATER WILL HOST its first annual Carnival on the Hudson on August 15 through 19, at Veteran’s Field, River Road.

The carnival, sponsored by the Edgewater CARES Committee (Community Arts, Recreation and Education Support), will include 12-15 amusement rides, with a midway, games of chance, and food vendors.

All of Edgewater’s organizations and businesses are invited to participate in this 1st annual summer carnival fundraiser. Community organizations can rent a tent for fundraising activities, while local businesses can rent a tent to sell merchandise or food items.

The Carnival’s hours of operation are:

• Wed., 8/15: 6pm-10pm
• Thurs, 8/16: 6pm-10pm
• Fri, 8/17: 6pm-11pm
• Sat, 8/18: 1pm-11pm
• Sun, 8/19: 1pm-10pm

Half price tickets are available in advance at the Community Center.

All proceeds from the event will go toward recreational equipment and facility improvements for Edgewater’s youth.
