9/11 Memorial Services Scheduled
Edgewater Observes One-Year Anniversary

The Borough of Edgewater will have two services on Wednesday, September 11, 2002.

The first will be a small dedication by Mayor Bryan Christiansen at approximately 8:30 a.m. in Veterans Field, at the Memorial Brick Pathway.

The second service will be a candlelight memorial vigil to be held at the Veterans Field Memorial Flag site at 8:00 p.m. Please bring candles and/or flashlights. In case of rain, the memorial vigil will be held in the Community Center.

Edgewater Business Alliance Welcomes New Trustee

The Edgewater Business Alliance recently named Karen DeMarco to its seven-member Board of Trustees, replacing outgoing trustee Regan Uriarte of Outback Steakhouse. Mrs. DeMarco is President of Virtual Town Pages Web Site Creators & Internet Directories, which operates EdgewaterOnline.com. In other Trustee news, Stephen M. Gross was recently named Treasurer, with trustee Elliot J. Lewiskin, CPA serving as Assistant Treasurer.

Cultural & Historic Committee News

Do you like history? The Cultural and Historic Committee is involved in preserving the headstones in our Historic Cemetery - the place is being made more beautiful under their guidance. Please help them in their efforts for town preservations. We need to protect some of our ambiance that brings people here, and become involved in creating new community space for all of us.
