Everyone has heard sayings such as, “Beauty is only skin deep”, or “Beauty is in the eye of the beholder”. As a society, we should step back and realize that our beauty is about balance: balance of our mental, spiritual, and physical health. We need to take care of ourselves internally as well as externally.

We must remember to replenish what we take out of our bodies. Bringing it back to the basics, start with those 8 glasses of water every day. Remember that without water, sunlight, and air, there would be no life. When this is considered in the context of our physical bodies, it highlights the importance of hydrating your hair.

Winter brings dry, brittle, cold conditions. It’s important to remember to counterbalance those effects, as well as what we do (or do not do) for home hair care. Improper use of blow dryers, curling irons, flat irons, and other dehydrating implements all do the same thing - rob the hair of its most essential needs, namely water and moisture.

For the amount of time that it would take for you to drop off, pick up, and pay for the silk blouse that you need to be carefully cleaned, you can take the time to sit back and relax in a tub and give your hair a rejuvenating bath of wellness. Or, you can sit back and contemplate the need for these things. We don’t allow, permit, or indulge ourselves for the brief period of time it takes to care for ourselves. But remember, “You get out of life what you put into it”; “What goes around comes around”; “Life is what you make of it.”

Consult your professional hair stylist for the best home hair-care system for your hair.
